ZOOM! WHITENING
BEFORE & AFTER
ZOOM! WHITENING
Over time, drinking coffee, red wine, green and black teas, as well as smoking and simply ageing, can stain your teeth. Medications such as tetracycline (antibiotic) can also attribute to stains. Teeth whitening is the process of eliminating these stains safely while leaving the tooth/teeth undamaged. All Smiles Dentist has years of experience in using teeth whitening to improve our patient's smiles, and after much research, we have found that Zoom! Teeth Whitening, a product from internationally acclaimed company Philips, provides our patients with the most stable whitening treatment with proven results!
Here are some of the products in the Zoom! Teeth Whitening range:
- In-Office Whitening two to four 15-minute sessions
- At-home Day White
- At-home Night White
In-office:
Our most asked for treatment involves the application of a 25% hydrogen peroxide gel in combination with the Zoom! Patented Whitespeed light. Combined, in an hour's treatment, these products can whiten your teeth eight shades lighter.
It is important for the gel to be applied to professionally cleaned teeth, and as such, your dentist may suggest a scale and polish treatment before setting up your whitening appointment. We may also suggest certain toothpastes be stopped and others implemented to ensure you have a sensitivity-free experience with stunning results!
Maintenance of your newly whitened teeth is important! We suggest custom made trays alongside some of our at-home whitening gels used only once a month for thirty minutes at a time to keep your smile invigorated.
At-home Day White:
These professional take-home bleaching syringes come in two strengths of hydrogen peroxide and are for bleaching during the day. The 6% hydrogen peroxide gel can be placed in trays and worn for 45 minutes to an hour per time. This is ideal for sensitive teeth and home bleaching, including after in-chair whitening.
The 9.5% hydrogen peroxide gel can be placed in trays and worn for 30 minutes per time. This is ideal for sensitive teeth and home bleaching, including after in-chair whitening.
At-home Night White:
This is a 16% carbamide peroxide professional take-home whitening gel which needs to be placed in customised trays and worn for 6-8 hours per night. Even though it is our lowest strength bleaching gel, it isn't ideal for sensitive teeth due to the length of the wear time.
It is, however ideal for more stubborn staining such as:
- Antibiotic stained teeth
- Non-Vital teeth (due to, e.g. trauma)
- Extremely/ unusually dark or grey, brown staining
It is good to note that teeth whitening is a cosmetic procedure and, as such, should only be applied once your mouth, teeth and gums are healthy. Regular dental checkups and professional cleanings are vital for good oral health.
